I'm not a huge fan of dark stories as I figure the world is already dark enough, but I actually enjoyed reading the Descendants. So, I decided to give The Calling which is book 2 in the series a try and I was not disappointed. This is not a stand alone, you won't understand everything unless you read The Descendants first, but this takes you further into the worlds of Lytonia and The Wilds.
