We meet Rayah the main character, see how she deals with loss, bullying, isolation, pain and self discovery. She discovers she is able to physically heal faster than her peers, as well as travel in her "lighter form" to the wild lands where she discovers her lighter powers and that she is also a gods child. The author is a master story teller in my opinion as she keeps me engaged and wanting more.
